About me
Caitlin Mihalko has been teaching for 16 years and is currently teaching at East Middle School in Farmington Public Schools. Ms. Mihalko’s primary instrument is the cello and she has taught private lessons for 20 years. She has taught 4th/5th grade beginning Orchestra, Middle School Orchestra, and High School orchestra. She was on the MMC Planning Committee for 9 years and served on the MASTA Board for 15 years. Most recently, she was Program Director of the MASTA String Camps for 10 years. She has been a guest clinician for multiple programs and special events. Ms. Mihalko has a Bachelors in Music Education from the Michigan State University College of Music and a Masters in Music Education from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater, and Dance.
Caitlin Mihalko is a cellist with 16 years of public school teaching experience including digital music, 4th & 5th grade beginning orchestra, and middle and high school orchestra. She currently teaches at East Middle School in Farmington Public Schools. In addition to her public school experience, she has taught privately for over 20 years, and has worked as a guest clinician for multiple organizations. She has also served our professional organizations in Michigan throughout her career, spending nine years on the MMC Planning Committee, 15 years as a MASTA board member, and 10 years as director of the MASTA strings camp. Caitlin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Michigan State University, and a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Michigan.
