About me
Thomas Blue retired from teaching public school choral music 6-12 after 34 years. He continues his passion teaching elementary music at Oakland Christian School. Mr. Blue has a B.S in Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York, a M.M. in Music Education with a choral cognate from Michigan State University and completed coursework on a Ph. D. in Music Education with a cognate in choral conducting at MSU. Mr. Blue is a MSVMA Emeritus Member and President of ACDA-MI. He has articles published in The Choral Journal, ACDA ChorTeach, Resound, MSVMA Journal and has presented at various conferences including ACDA Midwest Regional Conference, ACDA-MI Fall Conference, Michigan Music Conference, MAMSE, Oakland Schools, Arts First and for MSVMA.
